Experience this gentle technique that affects the environment of the deepest part of our anatomy, the brain and spinal cord.
Our brain and spinal cord are the most protected areas of our body. They are both encased in bony structures and are further sealed in a protective sac (Dura Mater), that isolates them from other body fluids and keeps them bathed in Cerebral Spinal Fluid. Normally, the dural sac expands and contracts regularly with the flow of Cerebral Spinal Fluid (CSF), about ten times per minute. Moving along with that eb and flow, the bony plates that make up our skull also move, albeit very slightly. Craniosacral Therapy helps remove the obstacles, to allow free movement of this system and to improve the flexibility of the dura. Stiffness and adhesions in this system, if not addressed, can contribute to low vitality, depression, anxiety, low immunity, lack of balance, pain and dysfunction in movement of the limbs, clinical impairment, just to name a few.
